Our beautiful hand made toboggans are not a typical hardware store toy! Made from selected hardwoods they are designed after an antique toboggan model that graced the pages of a popular 1920s mail order catalogue.

Our toboggans are 'Made in USA' right here in Brattleboro, Vermont.  Manufactured to superior standards out of 5/16" thick steam-bent local hardwoods. The edge and center slats are stained with contrasting mahogany or red stain to provide a classic look. A generous coating of gloss finish ensures excellent durability and a lifetime of fun in the snow.

Toboggans have sculpted breast-plates and come with non-manila side and tow ropes. Toboggans are available in 3 lengths, 5ft, 6ft and 8ft, our 6ft toboggan is the most popular. American Traders Premium 6 and 8ft toboggans have Extended Center & Edge Slats. Red vinyl cushions are available for all sizes. New this year a 30" long decorative 'Mini' toboggan, perfect as a Christmas table decoration.
